Springtime is here in Music City, and you can feel it in the air. With this time of year comes a lot of tempo, and CDX 592 delivers this fact home with an exclamation point. Let’s dive into the latest volume, and see what Nashville has up its’ sleeve for this edition…..

The “Jewel” of CDX 592 belongs to EMI newcomers Brothers Osborne. They were one of the most-talked about parts of the CRS Ryman show, and their new single, “Rum,” is fun and infectious, as well as a little bit quirky. There’s nothing like it out today. Give it a chance. I think you’ll be pleased….

Other standout tracks on 592 include……

“Feelin’ It” / Scotty McCreery – A fun song to roll down the window to and hit the back roads.

“Sunshine & Whiskey” / Frankie Ballard – A nice follow-up to his chart-topping ‘Helluva Life.’ Another trip to the top might be in short order.

“She Used To Love Me A Lot” / Johnny Cash – The focus track from the new Out Among The Stars collection from “The Man In Black,” this one brought back memories of one of David Allan Coe’s most understated moments – a # 11 hit from 1984. If you have the freedom to paint outside the numbers with your playlist, give this one a spin!

And, in our “Hidden Gem” section for 592, we give the nod to Texan Zane Williams and his traditional sounding “Little Too Late.” It’s a performance that brings back memories of acts such as Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt, and Tracy Byrd. Good stuff!

Well, going to get ready for Vegas. I hear there’s an awards show going on…..Have a good week!
