CDX’s View of The 44th Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony,

Presented by the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Foundation in association with the Nashville Songwriters Association International,

At Music City Center, Sunday, October 5th 2014:

This year, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame invited four new hit writers to become a part of its family: John Anderson, Paul Craft, Tom Douglas, and Gretchen Peters. These four extremely talented writers are said to have set a high standard for the rest of Nashville’s songwriters. They have each displayed their creativity in well-known songs we all know today.

Each inductee was brought into the hall by an already inducted writer. John Rich of Big & Rich inducted John Anderson. Layng Martine, Jr. inducted Paul Craft. Troy Tomlinson inducted Tom Douglas, and Gretchen Peters was inducted by Rodney Crowell.

The newly inducted writers were grateful and humbled to become a member of such an honorable place for country music, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. “You go down and look at the names on those bricks in front of the Music City Center, and you can’t believe that they would utter your name next to Bob Dylan or Kris Kristofferson or Johnny Cash,” said Tom Douglas to express his gratitude.

Congratulations to John Anderson, Paul Craft, Tom Douglas, and Gretchen Peters! CDX is so thankful to be a part of such an awesome country music community here in Nashville!
