–John Wesley Ryles has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in Nashville for background singers, but he has enjoyed a few solo hits on his own. 1979’s “Liberated Woman” was a hit, but the song that was his biggest was 1969’s “Kay.” The song made an impact on Daryle Singletary, who included the song on his album That’s Why I Sing This Way, with Audium releasing the single to radio a decade ago..from CDX 318.
