“Too Much Ain’t Enough” Telltale Comes To Radio January 21, 2013
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 17, 2013)—Country music recording artist Clinton Gregory, who has re-entered the format after a sad, 17-year absence from the spotlight, validates once again his talents as a contender.
The triple-threat singer, songwriter and masterful instrumentalist received warm-hearted welcome and applause from music critics, country radio and its listeners with the release of his acclaimed comeback project entitled TOO MUCH AIN’T ENOUGH (September 2012/Melody Roundup Music); a musical work product that is an assortment of personal memoirs, humorous caricatures and signifies Gregory as a country music storyteller who truly has been missed.
Clinton releases the second single from the CD, the title track “Too Much Ain’t Enough” ** on January 21, 2013 (CDX Vol. 562/Track No. 15). Co-written by Tony Ramey, Trey Matthews and Earl Clark, the song is significantly reflective of the non-fiction life chapter for Clinton Gregory.
“The story is about regret, wasted time, life passing before you and love lost—the misguided trades we make in exchange to dance with our demons,” Clinton introduced. “It offers the listener relative substance to contemplate life decisions and priorities, and poses the question: ‘what would I do, if too much wasn’t enough?’”
A tale told from an on-looker in a corner booth who watches his life fall apart vicariously through the man who has taken residence on a barstool, the visual is captured in the corresponding music video directed by Brett Bortle (Weekend Warriors Productions) with a special appearance by fellow recording artist Lucas Hoge. Filmed at Abiff’s Pub, a local neighborhood tavern in Dickson, TN, the poignant piece is anticipated to hit television screens across the country in the coming weeks.
Named as one of the Top 15 Albums of 2012 (Roughstock.com), Gregory’s TOO MUCH AIN’T ENOUGH (produced by Gregory and Jamie Creasy) showcases his trademarked kick-ass, world-class fiddle wizardry and multi-faceted musical talents. The single, scheduled to hit radio at the end of the month, is no exception.
Noted as one of “the best” fiddle players over the past two decades, 2013 holds the potential to be a career defining year. With the goal to diversify his musical resume built in classic country music, he is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on a new bluegrass album anticipated for delivery in February
