Hank Williams Jr.

Hank Jr. Upcoming Appearances Include “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “The View,” “CBS This Morning” and “Audience All Access”

Country icon Hank Williams Jr.’s new Nash Icon Records album, IT’S ABOUT TIME, which includes the rowdy single, “Are You Ready for the Country,” is now available in stores and across digital retailers.

“I couldn’t be more excited about this album,” exclaimed Hank Williams Jr. “I have been doing this a long time but I promise this is the best album yet and fans will not be disappointed.”

Critics are raving about the Nash Icon’s 37th album:

“Hank Williams Jr. makes great albums, period, and he’s back with a new release, It’s About Time, that actually may be his best….to present a pretty powerful mix of good ol’ boy sensitivity, arena-sized sonics, goofball humor, and, of course, a nice, big helping of anti-PC.”
– Mike Ragogna, Huffington Post

“A mix of swagger (“Dress Like an Icon”) and surprise humility (“Just Call Me Hank”), It’s About Time … backs up Williams’ boasts…with many songs recorded live, there’s an undeniable energy to the record. There’s also some thumb-his-nose-at-the-establishment risks, like the almost seven-minute gospel-blues number “Wrapped Up, Tangled Up in Jesus (God’s Got It).”
– Joseph Hudak, Rolling Stone Country

“Actually, it’s about Hank Jr. at his rowdiest, rocking best… Here, Hank is explosive, energized and even revitalized, likely because he’s written and found tunes that stoked his fire again.”
– Bob Paxman, Country Weekly

“Quality ‘Time’: Hank Williams Jr. raw and real on new CD… raw and unapologetic. Williams saunters and shouts; there’s nothing subtle about his approach to a lyric.”
– Bob Doerschuk, USA TODAY

“It feels like a juke box of selections from several phases of Hank’s career. From the classic twang on tracks like “It’s About Time” to the jumpy blues featured on “Dress Like An Icon” to gospel with a toughened up version of reverend Charlie Jackson’s “Wrapped Up Tangled Up In Jesus.””
– Nathan Worsey, CountryMusicPride

GRAMMY® Award winner and Oscar nominee Julian Raymond (Glen Campbell, Cheap Trick) produced IT’S ABOUT TIME, featuring re-recorded versions of classics like “Mental Revenge” and “Born to Boogie” with Brantley Gilbert & Justin Moore and featuring Brad Paisley on guitar, as well as new tunes Hank solely penned such as “Dress Like an Icon,” “Just Call Me Hank” and “It’s About Time.”
